John has spent more than 30 years inside telecommunications, satellite and industrial automation, most of them on the selling side of the table. His work has spanned IP and Ethernet networking, satellite services, SDN/NFV and IT/OT convergence, with particular depth in the digitization of mining and energy operations.

He started ConnectedEarth because too much hard-won knowledge stays locked inside the companies where it was earned. ConnectedEarth is a place to put that experience to work for the people making the decisions, and to give others a platform to do the same.

John is based in Frankfurt, Germany. He also works as an independent consultant; where that is relevant to a piece, it is disclosed.

Stephanie Wilson works behind the scenes, making sure the site looks and works well. She is also a researcher, contributor and educator, all invaluable in making ConnectedEarth a destination.
